Obituary: Joetta Crider

Joetta (Jody) Crider, age 87, of Prescott, Ariz., went home to be with her Lord on Oct. 5, 2013 in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was born Oct. 22, 1925 in Tempe, Ariz. to William Rogers and Era Collins Rogers.

Jody worked, first as a volunteer and later as a missionary, with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Arizona from the 1950s until she retired in 2010. She was a bookkeeper, teacher, camp counselor, treasurer, director and all around enthusiastic participator in every CEF endeavor. She loved teaching children the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her sons Roger, Larry and Randy; her brother Bill; sister Mary Heavin; seven grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was proceeded is death by her husband, Roy, her sons Ronnie and James and her four other siblings, Sherman, Juanita, Jim and Peggy.

A celebration of her life and home-going will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Cornerstone Church, 700 W. Rosser, Prescott, Ariz. Lunch will follow. Donations in Jody's memory may be made to CEF of AZ, P.O. Box 31420, Tuscan, AZ 85751-1420.
