PRESCOTT - Two people whose motorcycle crash on Iron Springs Road sent them to the hospital have been released, a police spokesman said.
At about 1 p.m. Sunday, Central Yavapai Fire and the Pres-cott Fire responded to a motorcycle-versus-SUV crash at the intersection of Iron Springs Road and Meadowridge.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 60s, suffered head injuries and multiple cuts and bruises, fire officials said. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The female motorcycle passenger, a woman in her 60s, was wearing a helmet and suffered moderate injuries.
Both motorcycle riders were flown to John C. Lincoln North Mountain hospital in Phoenix.
Prescott Police spokesman Ken Morley said both have now been released
The driver and passenger of the SUV were not injured.
Morley said the "driver of the SUV said she didn't see (the motorcycle) as she made her turn," and that police are attributing the collision to "driver inattention, possibly due to intoxication."
