Admit it: You've uttered this phrase more than once: "I wish I could adopt them all." Well, the good news is you can help adopt them all by joining the Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) Planned Automatic Withdrawal Service (P.A.W.S.) and supporting our efforts to find homes for every homeless animal.

How does joining P.A.W.S. help the animals? By becoming a monthly P.A.W.S. donor an automatic monthly donation of your choice is sent to YHS without the hassle of writing and mailing in a check. Each month our secure system automatically processes your donation.

Imagine, if every animal lover in our community donated $1 a day - 30 bucks a month - YHS could confidently continue to save animals' lives, fight cruelty, rescue homeless animals in need and make sure every animal finds a loving home.

By becoming a monthly supporter of the Yavapai Humane Society, you help us find a home for every animal that passes through our door. You also help provide ongoing comfort to animals in need. Even if you can't personally adopt one more pet, you can help make sure we find a loving family for every single homeless animal.

The great news is P.A.W.S let's all of us help deserving animals find homes.

And participation in P.A.W.S. is easy. Just go to www.YavapaiHumane.org/paws and choose a pre-set amount or designate your own monthly gift. Then check the box that says, "Repeat this donation every month" and enter how many months you want to repeat your gift. You can sign up with Visa, MasterCard or Discover and choose the amount that feels comfortable to you. You can also change or cancel your participation at any time. Participating in the P.A.W.S. program also entitles you to many YHS membership benefits.

If you have any questions about P.A.W.S., give us call at 445-2666 ext. 21.

In addition to helping YHS through P.A.W.S, you can also help us spread the word about our adoptable animals. Did you know that YHS posts photos of cats and dogs who are looking for good homes on our website every day? Like you, we wish we could bring every single one of these deserving pets home.

You can also watch many heartwarming videos of YHS pets available for adoption on your home computer. Just go to our website and click on the YouTube icon. You can actually be a YHS matchmaker by sharing these adorable pictures and videos with your email friends and families who may be looking to adopt a pet.

You can also join the YHS Facebook family or follow YHS on Twitter by clicking on the Facebook and Twitter icons on our homepage. Being a Facebook friend or Twitter follower allows you to learn about all the wonderful stories at YHS as they happen. You will also be the first to hear about any promotions YHS is offering.

Speaking of promotions, YHS is offering all our "camo" (brindle and multi-colored) animals for just $10 to any active duty military personnel and veterans through this Saturday. And animals five years of age and older are free to any senior (59 years or older) citizen.

The Yavapai Humane Society is the pet adoption center of choice where choosy animal lovers go to adopt.

This holiday season, consider helping our community's homeless animals by making a gift to the Yavapai Hu-mane Society or adopting one of our wonderful animals. Together we can make sure they all have a home for the holidays.

Ed Boks is the executive director of the Yavapai Humane Society. He can be reached at eboks@yavapaihumane.org or by calling 445-2666, ext. 21.
