The Mountain Artists Guild (MAG) will raise money for its art scholarships during its Eighth Annual Scholarship Auction Saturday evening, Nov. 9.

Tickets are still available and are $25 each, which includes a souvenir wine glass, drink tickets, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and music by Bob Shimizu. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the guild's gallery, 228 N. Alarcon St., in Prescott. All proceeds benefit MAG's scholarship program each year for qualifying local students in pursuit of a career in the arts.

The evening begins with a silent auction of art donated by local and national artists,, in addition to gift baskets of items contributed by local merchants. A live auction of fine art, with auctioneer Bob Greene, will complete the evening.
