Obituary: Catherine May Sotzen

Catherine May Sotzen, 90, passed away in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on Oct. 30, 2013. She was born June 14, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., to James and Winifred (McCarick) McCabe. She served in the Navy WAVE during WWII, and enjoyed doll-making, crafts and sewing.

Catherine is survived by her children, Michele Jordan of Missouri, Catherine Hedstrom of Indiana, Paul Sotzen of Iowa, Dave Sotzen of Arizona and Mary Sotzen of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Viewing and rosary will be 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Ariz., with a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Mission Santa Maria, 12028 Turquoise Circle, Dewey, Ariz.
