PRESCOTT - The second annual Mile High Brewfest is approaching, and micro brewers are crafting their barrels of beer for the downtown Prescott event.
A news release from the City of Prescott reported that the Brewfest will take place from 1 to 7 p.m., June 15 at the corner of Montezuma and Goodwin streets.
The event will include sampling craft brewers from the Southwest, who will be serving up more than 75 artisan brews. Local breweries Prescott Brewing Company and Granite Mountain Breweries will be among the brewers participating in the event. Also featured will be two northern Arizona award-winning wineries.
Five bands will provide entertainment throughout the day. The lineup includes: The Jamie Waldron Trio, Pat Roberts and the Hay Makers, Road One South, Pick and Holler, and Alice Wallace.
The event will also feature a wide range of food vendors, and five outdoor games.
The $20 general admission at the door includes a souvenir pint glass and six tasting tickets. A VIP tasting hour is available from noon to 1 p.m. for $30 admission.
