Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters: Ashlyn

Meet Ashlyn. She is a very kind-hearted 10-year-old girl who is in the fourth grade. Ashlyn is being raised by her mother and also lives with her little brother in Prescott.

Ashlyn is a good student and her favorite subjects are science and art. She enjoys doing crafts, cooking, reading, hiking, fishing, flying kites, horseback riding, driving go-carts, and going to museums. She has a passion for animals and would like to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Ashlyn would also like her Big Sister to love animals.

You don't have to change your life to change the life of a child like Ashlyn. Just a few hours a couple times a month is enough to make a difference as a Big Sister. You can also be a Big as a Couple Match or with your whole family as a Family Match. Research shows that kids matched with a "Big" are, on average, 40 percent less likely to get arrested compared to all other kids their age.

Right now, there is a need for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Couple & Family matches with children living in Prescott Valley, Dewey and Chino Valley. Call 778-5135 or go to for more information on how you can help change a child's life... Fundamentally. For the better. Forever.
