Chamber Players to give Mother's Day concert at church
The Prescott Chamber Players plan a Mother's Day concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Ave., Prescott.
First on the program is a Mozart piano quartet, with violin, viola, cello and piano. Other pieces on the program include a woodwind quartet by Eugene Bozza, with flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon; a Puccini string quartet, with two violins, viola and cello; the Saint-Saens Trio in F, with flute, cello and piano; and two flutes and cello trio, written by local composer and musician John Bresnahan.
Musicians will also perform Mozart's Flute Quartet in D, with flute, violin and cello, and the Schubert String Quartet, with two violins, a viola and two cellos. The final piece is from Malcom Arnold called "Three Shanties," with a flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn.
The concert is free but donations are welcome.
