'Celebrate Life' health expo to offer something for everyone
Families with children, older adults, veterans and people of all ages will find fun and educational activities for them at Yavapai Regional Medical Center's Celebrate Life Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Prescott Gateway Mall.
YRMC is bringing together local nonprofit organizations to focus on health and wellness, Roxanne Hull, YRMC's community outreach coordinator, said.
Visitors to the expo will have nearly 45 exhibits to explore that will feature interactive demonstrations, health screenings and informative displays. Some exhibits include assessments for stroke cardiac risk, lung function and oxygen saturation, and fall risk, along with information about healthy eating and hearing and vision.
Presentations by health experts will cover patient blood management, a healthy legs boot camp, risk factors for coronary heart disease, breast cancer genetics, suicide prevention and a heart health question-and-answer period.
Other features of the expo are Zumba dance demonstrations and face-painting for children.
