Les Stukenberg/The Daily Courier<br> Constance Howard, Jennifer Gosnell and Yanina Rivera were prepared for the 2012 Pub Crawl in downtown Prescott.

Plan on a little Irish luck as the tri-city area celebrates St. Patrick's Day this weekend. A number of downtown Prescott's pubs, bars and more will take part in the Eighth annual St. Patrick's Day Miller Lite Pub Crawl, with prizes, free t-shirts, green beer and free cab rides offered in the evening.

The crawl is scheduled to begin Sunday around 1 p.m. Murphy's manager Tamara Stupak said crawl participants should plan to meet at Murphy's to kick off the event.

"Everyone signs in here and then they get their tickets to go to all the other pubs in town," Stupak said. "It ends at Matt's Saloon. Everyone should be there by 7 p.m. in order to be eligible for the drawings."

The first 550 participants will receive a free Pub Crawl T-shirt. There is no entry fee.

"You don't have to drink to participate, but free cab rides will be available," Stupak said. "Pub crawls are a chance to socialize and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with green beer and Irish coffees."

Thirteen establishments will take part in this year's Pub Crawl, and stops at each participating pub can be made in any order, according to the crawl's official rules. While there aren't many rules, they do require participants to be at least 21-years of age.

In order to be eligible for prizes, crawlers also must visit the official Miller representative at each pub to have an official mark placed on their Pub Crawl card. Cards are available at Murphy's the day of the event. All 13 official hosts must be marked on the card in order to qualify for the grand prize.

As of Tuesday, that grand prize remained under wraps.

Besides Pub Crawl hosts, such as Scottie's, The Office, El Charro, Hooligan's and the Jersey Lilly Saloon; a number of other locations will offer their own St. Patrick's Day festivities as well.

Pudge & Astis Sports Grill will hold their annual Blarney Shootout steel dart tournament for St. Patrick's Day beginning Friday and running through Sunday. The tournament has been a Prescott tradition for 28 years, according to bartender Monica Foard.

"We have the oldest running steel dart tournament going on for the Blarney," she said. "It's something we do every year. The winner gets a Blarney mug at the end of the weekend. Come in and have fun. There will be giveaways throughout the day. We have a lot of fun down here."
