Community members are encouraged to come out to the Prescott Rodeo grounds to cheer on special needs children taking part in the Happy Hearts Rodeo for Exceptional Children from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 1, immediately before the opening of this year's "World's Oldest Rodeo."

Admission to the Happy Hearts Rodeo is always free.

Horses with Heart is proud to be working with Prescott Frontier Days team to provide these exceptional children with a rodeo experience as they ride in the same arena and cowboys and rodeo queens help them participate in rodeo-style events.

"Last year, we had an amazing response, and the riders were ecstatic," Horses with Heart Marketing Director Arlene Alen said. "We want this year to be even better. So help us fill the stands, cheer loudly, and support these amazing children and their families."

Many special needs children look forward to this event as the highlight of their year, Alen said.

"Participating in this and experiencing the joy on the faces of these children and their families is a blessing for us all," Alen said. "Please join us to cheer them on, applaud like mad, and help us fill the stands in tribute to their courage."
