A. Boyce Macdonald, 62, passed away June 12, 2013 surrounded by his family. Boyce was born June 3, 1951 in El Paso, Texas.

The family moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1956, where he attended Rose Lane Elem. and graduated Camelback High School in 1969. Boyce attended Northern Arizona University in the fall of 1969, where he made many lifelong friends. He then enlisted in the Army, served in the National Guard and was stationed at Fort Ord, Calif. Boyce met the love of his life, Lynn Longfellow, at NAU, they married December of 1973. He then graduated NAU in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Geography. Boyce and Lynn moved to their beloved Cherry, Ariz. in 1976, and had two daughters, Jessica and Jocelyn. Boyce was currently working as a Planning and Land Use Unit Manager for Yavapai County Development Services. Boyce was a community activist, having served on many boards and committees to better the community he loved. He enjoyed exploring the state of Arizona, hiking, camping and driving vintage VW's and Harley Davidson's. Boyce was an avid sports fan, whether it be professional teams or his kids and grandboys, he supported them all.

Boyce was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Mildred Macdonald and his brother, Charlie Macdonald. He is survived by his loving wife Lynn; his daughters Jessica (Paul) Hines and Jocelyn (Dave) Colegrove; and his grandchildren Parker, Peyton, Brody and Bailey.
