Obituary: Roxine June Rogers
Roxine June Rogers, 78 years old, born in Pennsylvania on Feb. 18 1935, a long-time resident of Prescott Valley, passed away surrounded by her daughter and beloved grandchildren on May 22, 2013.
Roxine was an extraordinary woman. She never backed down from the challenges and trials of life. She was, in the words of many, a fighter. She had nothing but kindness and generosity for others. Whether it was an encouraging word or an offer of help, Roxine showed nothing but the utmost consideration for family, friends and anyone fortunate to have known her. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love to her children and grandchildren, and expressed this value in a way that will be embraced by all. Roxine will be missed; however, her unconditional love and spirit remain in the hearts of those that knew her.
Roxine is survived by her daughter, Jackie, and husband, Kevin Bodkin, their four children, Lucas, BreeAnna, Lorrie and Austin; and her great-grandson, Gabriel, all from Prescott Valley. She is also survived by son, Will Jr., and wife, Sonya, from Gilbert, Ariz.; and two daughters in Ohio, Terry Daniels and grandson, Sonny, and Sharon Millward and grandson, Jose. Her son, Rick Millward, preceded her in death, but his son, Jayme Millward, from Prescott Valley, also survives.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on June 8, 2013, at Sunrise Funeral Home, reception immediately following at Prescott Valley Library in the Crystal Room.
