Cowboy Gathering coming to Dewey-Humboldt June 21-23

The second Dewey-Humboldt Cowboy Gathering and Western Heritage Festival takes place June 21-23 at both Humboldt Elementary School grounds and Mortimer Family Farms.

Event producer J.P. Gorham said he is looking for sponsors to help offset the costs of the fundraiser in which all proceeds go to the Dewey-Humboldt Historical Museum.

The event begins with a 6 p.m. Friday show at Mortimer Farms featuring Western singers and cowboy poets with Gail Steiger, Jim Dunham and the Rusty Pistols, Deanna Dickinson McCall, Peggy Malone, and others.

Saturday's events include workshops and sessions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Humboldt Elementary School. D-H Historical Society members will offer numerous hands-on pioneer activities during the day.

Sunday morning features a chuck wagon breakfast at 8, followed by Cowboy Church.
