Prescott police arrested 24-year-old Alexander Gabbert after he allegedly pulled a gun during a road rage incident on Highway 69.
According to police, the incident occurred just before 6:30 p.m. on July 27. Gabbert reportedly brandished the firearm after his white GMC was cut off by another driver.
After stopping Gabbert, police determined he was driving on a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
According to the police report, Gabbert denied having a pistol and told police he merely "flipped off" the driver who cut him off. But a search of the vehicle revealed a Colt .45 handgun in the glove compartment box. Gabbert told police he didn't know the handgun was in there and continued to deny he flashed a gun during the incident.
He was later arrested and booked into the Yavapai County jail, according to the police report. His vehicle was impounded.
