Top and center, Sheriff Amos Johnson (played by Al Freehauf) pursues bank robber Shorty (Jeff McCarall) during the Boothill Express Company's performance, titled "Shorty's Revenge," Saturday afternoon during the 8th annual Shootout on Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott. Below, members of the Guns of Cripple Creek battle it out during their act, "Water Rights."

The shootout, hosted by the Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies, continues all day today beginning at 9 a.m.

"Prescott's historic downtown comes alive with costumed re-enactors walking the street," states the Regulators' website, www.prescottregulators.org. "The re-enactment competition is second to none and the 1800s costume contest is like a step back in time."

The street is "filled with booths, a children's play area, vendors of all things Old West and other exhibitors and entertainers," according to the website.
