Honor Flight is an all-volunteer organization that arranges trips to the Washington D.C. World War II Memorial for WWII veterans at no cost to the heroes who saved our country. A recent event funded a trip for five deserving veterans from a waiting list of 300.

The Prescott chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) chose Honor Flight as the beneficiary of its 2013 Ice Cream Social and benefit, held at Las Fuentes Resort Village. The Arizona Old-Time Fiddlers furnished the music.

The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of a check funding five three-day trips to Washington D.C., all expenses paid, for five World War II heroes.
