Obituary: Anne M. Hartung

Anne M. Hartung died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Gilbert, Ariz. She was born Aug. 11, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Ford and Katherine Markham. Anne was 82 years old.

She was a member of the Prescott Fine Arts and Prescott United Methodist Church, and was very devoted to AAUW and the choir at the church. Anne enjoyed knitting, quilting, traveling, going to the opera, museums, the fine arts, the symphony and the love of friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Wold (Steve Distler) of Chandler, Ariz., Jeff Wold (Becky) of Mendota Heights, Minn., Peter Wold of Plymouth, Minn., Leif Wold (Cathy) Centennial, Colo., Mary Kate Wold of New York City, N.Y., Jody Hartung of Chandler, Ariz., and Mark Hartung (Peg) of Corinth, Texas; grandchildren David, Joshua, Nathanial, Natalie, Peter, Oliver, Rocky, Marie, Peg, Jack, Brent, Logan, Mark Jr., Theodore and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Justin, Arden, Joseph, Samuel and Michael; brother Joe Markham of Carlsbad, Calif.; and sister-in-law Arlene Comon (Tony) of Prescott, Ariz.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Hartung and brother-in-law Cecil Hartung.

A memorial service for Anne will take place at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Prescott United Methodist Church in Prescott.
