Rimrock school vandalized, robbed - again

RIMROCK - Beaver Creek Elementary School was burglarized sometime before 7 a.m. on Thursday, and the thieves vandalized the school while stealing various small items, said a YCSO spokesman.

A staff member told deputies that someone entered the school's bus barn and took a Ryobi power drill, a Motorola walkie-talkie and six flashlights, said Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn. The suspects also dumped motor oil in and around the building and tried to get into several vehicles parked nearby.

D'Evelyn said the school was also vandalized in November. That time, someone broke in and sprayed fire extinguishers in the lobby and classrooms, destroyed ceiling tiles in bathrooms, and ransacked desks, cabinets and lockers. Food and money were also discovered missing.

Both incidents happened n the late night or early morning hours.

YCSO is asking anyone with information to call 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232 and refer to case number 13-000266.
