Obituary: Robert Peter Nelson

Robert Peter Nelson, 81, died on Feb. 7, 2013, at the Margaret T. Morris Residence in Prescott. He was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Hebron, Ill., to Helen and George Nelson.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy aboard the heavy cruiser USS Des Moines as an electrician's mate from 1951-1955. He and Lois Lundy Nelson were married for 55 years.

He was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother. He is survived by his brother, Thomas P. Nelson of Rhinelander, Wis.; wife, Lois; and four children, Jerry Nelson, Sherry Nelson Zawistowski, Kathryn Nelson Askin and Steven Nelson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob will be missed by friends and family.
