Obituary: Ila Worrell Morris
Ila Worrell Morris, 92, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., went peacefully back home to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 10, 2013, at home with her daughter and son in-law, where she has lived for the past seven years.
Ila is survived by her son, Ross Morris (Alice Faye); her daughter LeOra Budin (Robert); and her devoted sister Virginia Vaughan. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren Lacey Husemann (Joshus), Alicia Ward (Brian), Wendi Smith (Lane), Nyree Morris, Ryan Puckett (Bonny), Joshua Fuller (Jodi), Robert Budin III (Amy), Emily Squire (Kelly) and Amber Fuller. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, Cory, Amanda, Ashley, Garrett, Kelsey, Christian, Kara, Carl, Morgan, Brendon, Andrew, Sara Rose, Zeke, LilyAnn, Akasha, Jayden, Noah, Audrey, Lauren, Skyler, Cale and Bryce; and one great-great granddaughter. She also leaves behind, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Darwin (Dick) Morris, mother Marie Elizabeth (Bird) Worrell, father Jeremiah Joseph Worrell, brother Leo Legrand Worrell, and sisters Margaret (Jerry) Palmer, Elva (Eddie) Woodvine, Louella (Dutch) Rammell and Leola Beddes.
Ila was born on Oct. 10, 1920, in St. Anthony, Idaho, where she grew up. She married the love of her life on Jan. 13, 1944, in Ogden, Utah. They moved to Billings, Mont., to raise their family and work in their family owned neighborhood grocery store. Due to her husband's illness, they moved to Tacoma, Wash., and then on to Mesa, Ariz. After the death of her husband, she moved to Phelan, Calif., to live next door to her sister Virginia. In 2004, she came to live with her daughter and her family in Prescott Valley, where she made many more dear friends. She never knew a stranger.
There will be a viewing Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the Relief Society room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' new Stake Center at Pronghorn and View Point in Prescott Valley a half-hour prior to her funeral, which will be in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery on Apache Trail in Mesa, Ariz.
