Obituary: Lloyd L. "Pat" Teeters
Lloyd L. "Pat" Teeters, 95, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, quietly and at peace at the Hospice Family Care Center in Prescott.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Angela Fasci Teeters, in 2001. He is survived by his second wife, Elton "Rose" Fillingim Teeters; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony R. and Therese Teeters, Prescott, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jerry Morrow, Star, Idaho; and son, Gordon Teeters, South Dakota; and the Fillingim siblings; grandchildren, Eric Morrow, Bozeman, Mont., Matthew Morrow, Reading, Mass., Jason Teeters, Colorado Springs, Colo., Kasi Plaskon, Peoria, Ariz., and Kelly Bennett, Glendale, Ariz., and five great grandchildren.
He was born in Iola, Kan., in 1918 and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II in the African and Mediterranean theaters, being awarded the Bronze Star along with numerous other medals. He was retired from Motorola in Phoenix, Ariz. He was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and was a Scout master, Sea Explorer leader and district commissioner for the Theodore Roosevelt Council Boy Scouts of America in Phoenix, Ariz. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award in 1969 for distinguished service to the Boy Scouts of America for having made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Boy Scouts of America.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz., in the spring of 2014.
