Obituary: Bette Jo Stanford

Bette Jo Stanford, a longtime resident of Mayer, Ariz., peacefully passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Surprise, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Lee Stanford, who passed away in 1977. He was a longtime ranch hand in the area.

Bette is survived by two sons, Richard and Robert Stanford; one daughter, Lora Stanford; one sister, Donna Teixeira; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Mayer at the Elders Club Building.
