On Friday evening, Dec. 20, Calvary Chapel of Prescott, 2313 E. Highway 69, will be presenting its annual children's Christmas play. Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 882 Sunset Ave., Prescott, will have A Winter Solstice service 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. On Tuesday, Dec. 24, a 6:30 p.m. "Christmas Eve Candlelight" service will take place, designed to delight the hearts of the young and old. Special Christmas music will be provided by the choir and soloists as well as lots of carols to sing.

On Sunday Dec. 22, at 10 a.m., Mountain Valley Church, 8123 E. Manley Drive in Prescott Valley, will present a Christmas musical, "Emmanuel." For information, call 772-5713.

The 7th annual Winter Solstice Feast of Light potluck, celebrating the rebirth of light, life and love, is 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Stoneridge Community Center, 1300 Stoneridge Drive, Prescott Valley. Have you always wondered what Heaven will really be like? Join First Southern Baptist Church in Prescott Valley as Pastor Stoneman starts a series on what the Bible actually says about eternal life at 6 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 22.

Prescott Community Church celebrates Christmas week beginning with the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 22, featuring the choir in a Christmas Cantata entitled "Mary, Did You Know?" The 9:15 a.m. contemporary worship "Connections" features festive contemporary Christmas music. The message at both services is "Angels and Shepherds." A Candlelight Christmas Eve service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the sanctuary. The message will be "The Birth of Jesus." The church is located at 3151 Willow Creek Road. Center for Spiritual Living Prescott will have a Christmas Eve Candlelight service with Christmas carols 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 3755 Willow Creek Road.

Christ Lutheran Church, 3300 N. Navajo Drive in Prescott Valley, will have a Children's Christmas Eve service 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24. The theme will be "The Gifts of Christmas." All are welcome. For information, call 443-8778.

Join Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 E. Road 1 South, for its 6:30 p.m. candlelight service on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, for Pastor Don Benton's message, "Forever Baby Jesus," taken from the Gospel of Luke 2:1-20.

Canyon Bible Church will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during three Christmas services at 8075 N. Prescott Ridge in Prescott Valley. The non-denominational church is located just east of the fairgrounds off Highway 89A. Canyon invites the public to Christmas Eve services at 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24. The services will be filled with an hour of traditional Christmas music, a women's chorale, and a powerful Christmas message. A nursery is available for children through age 3. Weekend services on Dec. 20-21 also will celebrate Christmas at Canyon, featuring the music of a children's choir. Services are at 6 p.m. Saturday, and 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. St. Germaine Catholic Church will have Christmas Eve Mass 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, for the children, 6 p.m. for Spanish-speakers, and 8:30 p.m. in English. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, Hope Lutheran Church, 1010 N. Road 1 E in Chino Valley, is celebrating Christmas with a candlelight worship service. Pastor Tim Henning's message for this 6:30 p.m. worship service will be "Rejoice in the Gift of a Savior" (Galatians 4:3-7). On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Hope is celebrating Christmas with a worship service of scripture and song. Women of Wisdom, an interdenominational Christian fellowship of Bible teaching and Bible studies for women of all ages and backgrounds, is now taking registrations for the Winter 2014 session. The new session begins on Wednesday, Jan. 15, and meets for eight weeks till March 5. WOW meets on Wednesday mornings from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott. Full and partial scholarships for class materials are available, and free childcare is always provided. The program for WOW each Wednesday morning includes coffee time, praise and worship music, prayer, a first-hour Bible teaching and your choice of a second-hour Bible or "Just for Fun" class. Mile High Fellowship is a new church meeting Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in the Prescott Adult Community Center, 1280 E. Rosser St. Fellowship and refreshments are at 8:45 a.m. The church began as a Bible study in November 2011 and is supported by the SBC's North American Mission Board, the Yavapai Baptist Association, local churches and individuals.
