The Optimist Club of Yavapai County has kicked off its annual Holiday Food Drive in the Quad-City area and are already collecting non-perishable food items and clothing to be distributed to needy families before Christmas. The Optimists are asking for donations of food (unopened containers, cans, boxes or bags, staples such as flour, rice, sugar, etc.) and clothing that will be given to the Yavapai Food Bank. The food or gently used and clean clothing and jackets can be dropped off in the Quad City area at Waffles and More in Prescott; the Hidden Valley HOA Activity Center in Prescott; the Dollar Store in Prescott Valley; Maverick Gas Station in Mayer; Roberts Market in Prescott Valley; Island Fitness in Prescott Valley; Planet Fitness in Frontier Village; Kids Closet in Prescott Valley; and I-HOP in Prescott Valley.

Drop off donations from now until Dec. 23 at any of the above locations. For further information and to learn more about The Optimist Club contact Michael Whiting at 772-3227 or visit their website at www.optimistclubofyavapai.org.
