Obituary: William Peter Aven II

William Peter Aven II passed away on June 26, 2013, following a car accident in Three Forks, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dama Aven of Prescott.

Mr. Aven was born and attended school in Prescott, Ariz. Following high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served 4-1/2 years in England.

Upon his return, he pursued an active business career. From 1980 to 1984, Pete owned an Apple computer dealership here in Prescott. He then moved to California where he became a freelance computer consultant before settling down in Bozeman, Mont.

Pete was a very spiritual man who saw only the best in everyone and every situation he came upon. Although he led a simple life, he was always there to help others in any way he could.

Pete is survived by his children, Pete Aven of Park City and Tara Aven of Prescott; his grandchildren, Briar and Trevi; and his three sisters, Penny Handorf of Sun Lakes, Barbra Bronson of Gilbert and Dorothy Mills of Prescott.

A service for him will be at noon Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Mountain View Cemetery. A celebration of his life will directly follow from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Hassayampa Inn, Arizona Ballroom.
