The Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) will offer Yavapai County employers the new Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP) training free of charge.
The HAWP training is split into two sessions: one half-day session and, six weeks later, one full-day session. The first session is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Residence Inn, 3599 Lee Circle in Prescott.
The program is designed for small businesses and can benefit employers of a couple of employees on up to 2,000-plus. Organizational leaders and/or human resources professionals can participate on behalf of their business.
Participating organizations learn about comprehensive worksite wellness programs, and how they can reduce costs associated with health care and absenteeism, increase employee productivity, and realize up to a $6 return for every $1 invested.
Space is limited. Register at http://asba.site-ym.com/events/event_details.asp?id=305305&group. For more information, visit www.healthyazworksites.org, or contact Paul Katan, Health Policy Manager, Yavapai County Community Health Services, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 442-5422.
