Letter: Cantlon should use more facts
In reference to Tom Cantlon's Aug. 21 column: Romney oblivious to real-world problems, I just feel it is a column with no facts to back it up. I admit I do not agree with many of Tom's columns and he has a far left bias but I realize he is giving his opinion and he usually backs his statements up. Either with links or saying the CBO or the government or media entity.
A Letter to the Editor or the comments to them are one thing concerning people's opinions. But it seems columnists should have some kind of facts. Tom seemed to say Mitt Romney was raised a spoiled rich kid who led a charmed life and everything was given to him. And that means he seems to feel everything is owed to him and he is still immature and would not make a good president. That reminds me of a letter written in grade school (but with better grammar) or my letter here.
I hate to dog the guy but this is just so far over the top I had to voice my displeasure.
Thanks for a wonderful local paper!
