PRESCOTT - A chain-reaction crash on Highway 69 sent two people to the hospital Wednesday morning, according to a Prescott Fire Department spokesman.
About 8:45 a.m., a pickup pulling a trailer rear-ended a car at the intersection of Heather Heights and Highway 69, forcing that vehicle into a third, said PFD spokesman Conrad Jackson.
Two people - the driver of the pickup, a man in his 30s, and the driver of the third car, a woman in her 50s - were taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center's west campus, complaining of neck and back injuries, Jackson said. The driver of the car that was sandwiched, 19-year-old man, refused treatment at the scene.
Traffic was able to flow through the intersection around the vehicles, with delays, Jackson said.
