PRESCOTT - Crews will continue landscaping work on Mount Vernon Avenue, as well as grading and curb-and-gutter work on Senator Highway this week, as a part of the city's street reconstruction project.
A news release from the City of Prescott reported that the work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Although the Mount Vernon work will occur largely off the street, drivers should be aware of reduced speeds, lane restrictions, and possible flagging operations.
On Senator Highway, work will take place between South Mount Vernon and Nathan Lane. It will include grading the road, placing aggregate base course, and constructing new curb and gutter.
Drivers on Senator should expect long delays, road closures, lane restrictions, and flagging operations, according to the news release. The city is urging motorists to allow additional travel time through the project corridor.
