Jack was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1922, to LaVee and John Reese. He passed away on Oct. 5, 2012, in Surprise, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Lila Rae. Also preceding him in death were his parents and sisters Marjorie Ogden and Geri Bennett. Jack is survived by his two daughters, Sherri Steenson (John) and Connie Buckley. He was the proud grandfather of four, Kelly Baughman (Katie), Kory Baughman (Pete), Nick Buckley (Natalie) and Scott Buckley (Katie). He has five great grandchildren, Carson, Ethan, Andrew, Logan and Parker. He is also survived by his brother Dr. William Reese of Ogden, Utah; his brother-in-law Val Bennett of Saint George, Utah; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

During WWII, he enlisted in the Navy and was sent to the South Pacific. His unit supported the Marines in the battle of Iwo Jima, and he was there when the flag was planted on Mount Suribachi. After the war, Jack returned to Utah and attended the University of Utah where he met and married Lila Rae. He was a member of the golf team. After graduating from the university, he began his career with Skaggs Drug Company (American Stores). He retired in 1982, as a Senior Vice President. Jack was married to Lila Rae for over 63 years when she passed away in 2011. They enjoyed their retirement and golfed courses all over the world. His family was a very important part of his life, especially his grandchildren.
