Letter: Many made scholarship benefit a success

EDITOR:

The Yavapai County Mounted Sheriff's Posse had its annual Scholars Need Dollars benefit. This event marks the 35th year the Posse has raised scholarship money for deserving students throughout Yavapai County.

Over the years, the YCMSP has raised nearly $447,000 in educational grants. Our thanks go out to all of those who supported our efforts through donations and especially to those who purchased tickets.

Special thanks go to the Prescott Adult Center and the Meals on Wheel Center and all their staff during this event. Also Brad and his crew from the Texas Road House. We also appreciated the many donations from K's Lighting, Tracy Murr (State Farm Ins.), Dennis Belivich, Prescott Brewing Co., Warren's Hay and More, The Rancher's Wife, Kelly Beef, The Door and Window Store, Arturo's Mexican Restaurant, Springhill Suites, True Value Hardware.
