Obituary: Philip Carl Brennion

Philip Carl Brennion, 58, of Chino Valley, Ariz., passed away May 15, 2012. Born in Wolfeboro, N.H., in his 20s he settled in Arizona, where he resided until his death.

He was a professional woodturner by trade and became a highly respected force and inspiration to many in the woodturning world. He was passionate about his woodturning and proudest of his family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking, hunting and collecting wood throughout the Arizona region. He battled physical disabilities throughout his life, but never let any limitations stand in his way.

Phil is survived by his wife Susan; daughter Kara; son Travis; brothers Richard, Joseph, William and Fredrick; his Uncle Carl; dear Aunt Betty; extended relatives; and many friends.

A service will be at St. Catherine LaBoure Catholic Church in Chino Valley 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Prescott Area Woodturners, P.O. Box 11780, Prescott, AZ 86304.
