Obituary: Thelma Lucille Barbour

Thelma Lucille Barbour, 89, passed away July 11, 2012, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born in Newark, N.J. on Oct. 12, 1922. Thelma moved to Prescott in 1986, with her husband Al, following his retirement as a U.S. postal carrier in Glendale, Ariz.

Thelma was employed as a registered nurse's aide and after her retirement, she did volunteer work at Sun City's Boswell Hospital and at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Thelma was also a member of the Lioness' Ladies Auxiliary and Biddy's Bunch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Algrove Sheldon Barbour, on Oct. 19, 1996, and her daughter, Marie Elizabeth Ruiz of Congress, Ariz.

She is survived by her two sons, William F. Barbour of San Antonio, Texas, and Charles Edward Barbour of Santa Clara, Calif.
