Riding the Rim Cowboy Poetry event is Sunday
The Dry Creek Arts Fellowship's 10th annual Riding the Rim Cowboy Poetry Gathering will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Phippen Museum. Performers from around the state will stir up the air, as only cowboys can, with poetry, music and songs. The cost for this special event is free with regular museum admission price.
The Riding the Rim Cowboy Poetry Gathering is presented as part of the Phippen Museum's ongoing "Trappings of the American West" exhibit, which runs through March 11. Participants at this year's gathering include Audrey Hankins, Gail Steiger, Amy Auker, Jim Dunham, Bill Burke, Nika Nordbrock, Sally Bates, and 2011 Dry Creek Arts Fellowship Gail I. Gardner award-winner Phil Ellsworth.
The Phippen Museum is located just a few minutes north of downtown Prescott at 4701 Highway 89 North, and admission is $7 for adults, $6 for AAA members, $5 for students with ID and free for museum members and children 12 and under.
