John Mastropiero, age 81, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in Prescott, Ariz. John was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Sterling, N.J., but grew up in Staten Island, N.Y.
John is survived by his loving wife Joyce; his children James (JoAnn) Mastropiero of Little Silver, N.J., Frank (Robin) Mastropiero of New Mexico and Maria Mastropiero of Staten Island, N.Y.; and Joyce's daughter Bonnie Rosa; his grandchildren Merissa Hamilton, Tarah Carter-Simon, John Mastropiero, Zachary Mastropiero, Analeigh Mastropiero, Sean Mangan and Michele Mangan; his great-grandchildren Jaden Carter, Darien Carter, Andre Carter, Ian Mastropiero, Evan Mastropiero, Gianna Mangan, John Mullen; and his sister Lucille (Eugene) Olsen.
John was preceded in death by his son Ian Mastropiero and his parents Frank and Mary.
John enjoyed cooking, traveling and playing cards. He was proudest of his family.
