Ronald David Knos, 82, of Prescott, Ariz., passed into the arms of Jesus on Feb. 18, 2012. Born Dec. 23, 1929, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the only son of the late Malcolm Knos and Leona Hansen.
During the Korean War, Ron was drafted into military service while attending the University of Buffalo. After extensive military and officer training, Ron served as second lieutenant and was honorably discharged in 1955.
Ron met Ellie Fusco on a blind date set up by friends, and the two were married on Nov. 5, 1955. They eventually had three children. Ron's career as a troubleshooter and national sales manager in the typewriter industry led the family to several cities throughout the country until finally settling in Fountain Valley, Calif., where they lived for over 20 years.
In 1995, the couple retired in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Ron lived a full and productive life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellie; daughter JoCarol Brown, son-in-law Jeff and grandchildren Christine and Michael; daughter Lynn Rodgers, son-in-law Brian and grandson Cole of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; and son David, daughter-in-law Tracey and grandchildren James and Nora of Gilbert, Ariz.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley.
