Yavapai College to host job fair Feb. 24
PRESCOTT - Yavapai College will host the 22nd annual Career & Job Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at the gym on the Prescott campus.
Businesses and organizations will be talking to job seekers about full-time, part-time, temporary and summer positions along with internships and future career opportunities, said Melissa Hodgdon, director of marketing and communications for Yavapai College.
The job fair is free for anyone who would like to attend, no registration is necessary, and it is being offered through the coordinated efforts of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, DES Employment Services and Yavapai College.
Exhibitors from business, government, healthcare, education, entrepreneurial and the military will discuss career and job opportunities with interested participants.
There will also be job search information, resources, and job success workshops available.
Those participating should attend in professional attire, be prepared to meet employers, and to discuss possible job opportunities, Hodgdon advised.
To participate, exhibitors pay $60 for an eight-foot display table, chairs, lunch for two, and morning coffee and muffins. In past years, the fair has averaged more than 100 exhibitors and 1,500 attendees.
