John Rowan Lytle

John Rowan Lytle, 65, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on Jan 25, 2012. One would not even notice his disease, for his attitude, way of life and character wouldn't let the general public in on his secret.

He was born in Glendale, Calif., in 1946, and moved to Albuquerque, N.M., in the early 1950s with father Norman W. Lytle II and mother Maxine Bates Lytle, older brother Norm and two younger sisters, Jobyna and Shelly. John moved after his father's death to Prescott, Ariz., to live with his uncle Victor H. Lytle, his aunt Ethel Perkins Lytle, and their three children, Betty, Jim and Bobby. John returned to California to attend and graduate from Whittier College in 1969. John was in education for three years, the wholesale liquor industry for five years and real estate development and finance for 35 years.

John is survived by his daughter Chessa Bouché, who is a "Southern belle" living in the south and a graduate of Ole Miss.

John's other loves in his life included walking on the beach with his daughter talking about "daddy-daughter" things, old cars, exercise, handball, golf, the willingness to tackle any issue "heads up," and some of his closest friends.

A celebration service took place Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Vineyard Community Church, 267632 El Lazo, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.
