Bowling benefit helps Big Brothers Big Sisters
Kathleen Murphy, president and CEO of Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, recently announced Credit Union West's sponsorship of Bowl for Kids' Sake 2012. Janet Humphrey, Credit Union West's community education specialist, presented the sponsorship check to Murphy during a Chamber of Commerce mixer.
Every year, Bowl for Kids' Sake underwrites the cost of matching hundreds of boys and girls and is YBBBS' single largest source of new Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Family matches.
Bowl for Kids' Sake kicked off this month and continues through April 1, with bowling taking place March 3-4, March 24 and March 30 and April 1 at Antelope Lanes, Plaza Bowl and Cliff Castle Casino.
Big Brothers Big Sisters recruits team captains from companies, civic clubs and the general public. These captains recruit team members, all of whom agree to get at least $125 in pledges. In return, they are invited to enjoy free bowling, free pizza, free drinks and prizes.
