Court seeks comments on Judge Pro Tem finalists

The Superior Court seeks comments from the public on four finalists for the Yavapai County Superior Court judge pro tem position, created by the upcoming resignation of Judge Warren R. Darrow on Feb. 10.

The candidates for the position are Joseph C. Butner III of Camp Verde, John D. Napper of Prescott, Paul A. Schlegel of Cottonwood, and Ethan A. Wolfinger of Prescott.

Written comments must be received by Friday, Feb. 10, to be considered.

Comments must include the person's name, phone number and email address for follow-up, clarification or additional information. Anonymous comments will not be accepted.

Presiding Yavapai County Superior Court Judge David L. Mackey will consider comments received when deciding whom to ask the chief justice of the Arizona Supreme Court to appoint as judge pro tem.

The appointment is subject to Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approval.A decision is expected by the end of this month.
