Golf Tips With Mack: Practice those putts

Most golfers that play the historic North Course at Antelope Hills know that the greens are fast and undulating. This makes for lots of putts that have big brakes and roll quickly.

My suggestion is that when you practice your putting on the practice green, practice lots of putts with break. Also you will want to practice more long putts than short ones. Find a spot on the practice green where you are faced with putts that have lots of break and are long ones. This will be a bit tricky at first but you will be facing the kinds of putts you get on the North Course. Also you will get a much better feel for the speed of longer putts and how to make the ball stop close to the hole even if it doesn't go in.

Remember that speed or distance is more important than line in good putting. Good Golfing!
