Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit invites the public to a pre-Christmas time of fellowship and fun from 4:30 to 5 p.m. today. Bring the kids and enjoy chocolates, cocoa, cake, cookies, caroling and fudge. The church is located at 8123 E. Manley Drive in Prescott Valley.

Hope Lutheran Church, 1010 N. Road 1 East, Chino Valley, will host a Christmas Party for kids ages 3-grade 5 at 10 a.m. on Saturday. A ministry to the Spanish-speaking community is beginning at Open Door Baptist Church of Prescott Valley. It will start with a dinner and get-acquainted time at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. There will be additional fellowship times before the beginning of Sunday afternoon worship meetings starting in February. These worship meetings will include singing and a message. Aglow International Prescott Lighthouse presents John Mark and Sandy Pool on Saturday at the Hassayampa Inn, 122 E. Gurley St., in downtown Prescott. Breakfast service begins at 9 a.m. for $10. The meeting is free and begins at 10 a.m. Personal prayer time will begin at the conclusion of the meeting. Mark and Pool, prophetic evangelists, are taking the message of the moving of the apostolic and prophetic offices in the church to become active. Those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, are dealing with a serious illness, or who have to face life after a divorce or the loss of a job may not feel like celebrating the holiday season. Prescott United Methodist Church will hold its second annual Service of Solace and Hope at 3 p.m. Sunday. The church is located at 505 W. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1202 Green Lane in Prescott, invites all to the Hope and Comfort service 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22. For some people, Christmas is a difficult time of the year because of the death of a loved one, illness or injury, or loss of employment. This brief service will include a message, time for meditation and hymns and carols of comfort while praying for healing and hope. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church will be having services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Women of Wisdom, an interdenominational Christian fellowship of Bible teaching and Bible studies for women of all ages and backgrounds, is now taking registrations through Jan. 4 for the winter 2013 session. The new session begins on Jan. 9 and meets for eight weeks, until Feb. 27. WOW meets on Wednesday mornings from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott. Compassionate Friends, a support group for parents who have lost a child at any age or however long ago, meets the second Tuesday of each month at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St. Pastor Carol Mumford leads the group, and any community member who has lost a child may attend. This is just one of the support groups that meets each month at PUMC. Other groups offer support for those with health issues such as breathing problems, cancer, depression and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. Contact the church office at 778-1950 for more information.
