Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona is joining other Boys & Girls Clubs across the country in opening its doors to the community during the annual celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week (April 15-21). For more than 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs have celebrated this week in a variety of ways to support the organization's overarching goal of helping all children achieve a great future.
To mark the occasion, the community is welcome to attend a celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona, 8201 E. Loos Drive in Prescott Valley. There will be a picnic with hot dogs and games, and visitors will learn how the clubs promote academic achievement, good character, citizenship and healthy lifestyles - areas that support the organization's mission of preparing the next generation for success.
