Three cars have been burglarized in Seligman in recent days and, in each case, the vehicle had been left unlocked, said a spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
One incident happened in the 200 block of Schoney Avenue, in which a purse, cash, a man's gold ring and three credit cards were taken from a 2012 sedan, said Dwight D'Evelyn, YCSO spokesman. The victim did not immediately report the theft because she didn't realize the items had been taken, he said.
Two more burglaries were reported in the 22000 block of Route 66. A truck and a sedan were hit, said D'Evelyn, and the vehicles had been "ransacked."
D'Evelyn said all three incidents likely happened after dark on April 8.
He asked that anyone with information call YCSO at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
