Eileen Kirwin Zaput died April 12, 2012, at her home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born July 20, 1927, in New York, N.Y. Eileen was the daughter of Irish immigrants Edward and Anne (Hennessey) Kirwin. She was 84 years old.

Eileen first came to Arizona in 1947 to be Charlie Orme's personal secretary at the Orme Ranch School in Mayer, Ariz. Later, after she earned her nursing degree from Phoenix College and following 25 years of service at St. Joseph Hospital, she returned to be camp nurse at Orme Summer Camp School. She was a volunteer at Yavapai Regional Medical Center and a member of the Retired Senior Cadet Nurses Auxiliary. Eileen enjoyed her time here in Prescott.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Pete; daughter Patricia Zaput; and son Kevin (Sheila), both of Prescott. Granddaughters Maghan McClellan and Kaitlin Gries also survive Eileen.

Gathering of friends will be 5 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, with Rosary Service at 6 p.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton, with Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury, Prescott, Ariz.
