News Briefs: Oktoberfest on the menu of church's food bank fundraiser

St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church will host "A Taste of Oktoberfest!" on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 3-7 p.m. in the church hall for the benefit of the Chino Valley Food Bank.

All money raised from ticket sales will be given to help those in need.

Cost for the meal will be $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger, and will provide for a number of choices in the menu. Guests will be able to choose between: a beer-cooked grilled brat or a hot dog; hot German potato salad or chips; apple kuchen or Black Forest cake; and an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. And of course, sauerkraut will be also be provided to complete the meal.

"Bringen sie ihre freunde and nachbarn! Kommen eat, geniefben und anderen helfen, zur gleichen zeit!", which means bring your friends and neighbors! Come eat, enjoy, and help others at the same time!
