Learn skills to help peers in recovery; training begins Friday

MATFORCE is offering a free Peer 2 Peer Recovery or Reentry Coach training that will teach you the skills to work one-on-one, helping youths or adults in recovery or for those reentering the community after serving in prison. No experience, prior qualifications or education is needed.

Coaches may choose to mentor those going through the recovery process or may choose to serve as a guide for individuals returning to our community from prison.

The next training will be in Prescott on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 30 and ending on Oct. 28. Classes will be at Chapter 5 Recovery Home, 707 W. Gurley, Prescott. Coaches working with reentry individuals will also receive additional training in January, including information on resources and special needs of those in reentry.

To register, contact MATFORCE at 708-0100 or matforce@cableone.net.
