Prescott police cited a woman for an unsafe lane change Friday afternoon after the car she drove collided with a motorcyclist waiting in a turn lane.
The car and the motorcycle were heading southeast on Iron Springs Road, said Sgt. Corey Kasun, traffic section supervisor, for the Prescott Police Department.
"The motorcyclist got into the left-turn lane to turn into Safeway when another vehicle got into the turn lane, sideswiped the motorcycle, and the motorcyclist fell," Kasun said. "He received some minor road rash, complained of lower back pain, and was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center's West Campus for treatment."
The woman driving the car told the officer that she didn't see the motorcyclist, Kasun said.
