ADOT continues Highway 89A/Viewpoint Drive paving project
PRESCOTT VALLEY - The Arizona Department of Transportation continues paving (weather permitting) on the Highway 89A/Viewpoint Drive traffic interchange project between Robert Road and Viewpoint Drive today. Work hours are 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Crews will monitor the project work zone and provide guidance and direction for motorists traveling through the area.
Additionally, curb and gutter improvements at the Viewpoint Drive intersection will require closing the left-turn lanes onto Viewpoint Drive from Highway 89A through Saturday. Delays are expected and drivers should use caution.
The final layer of pavement is scheduled to be applied on Highway 89A between Glassford Hill Road and the east end of the project on Fain Road next week The new bridges over Viewpoint Drive will open to traffic on Highway 89A after the paving is completed.
Motorists can expect delays of up to 30 minutes through Oct. 15. Drivers should allow additional time to reach their destinations.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and workers.
